There are two or three methods, but one of them requires root. We will see what are the best ways to take screenshots when the application does not allow it.

1. Using the Google Assistant

1. Open Google Assistant then press the Explore. THE'icon is at the bottom right.

2. Now tap on your profile picture in the top right corner and scroll down to General.

3. Choose your favorite Use screen context then activate the toggle for Use a screenshot.

You can now take a screenshot on the app in question.

1. Open the app that doesn't allow screenshot.

2. Now press and hold your smartphone's home button or swipe up from the bottom left or right corner to launch Google Assistant.

3. Press on What's on my screen? and if it doesn't show up, you can type it or say it.

4. After that press  Share screenshot.

That's it, the screen will then be captured and you can share it with other applications. However, the result of this method is either blacked out or completely distorted. So we move on to the next round.

2. Using the Scrcpy tool

You can use PC software that can record your phone screen. Here I am going to use Scrcpy which can mirror and record your Android device screen and the best part is that you don't even need root access. However, this method does not work on streaming apps.

First, you can get the software for Linux, macOS, and Windows from GitHub.

1. Now setup ADB on your PC and connect your Android phone. Run the adb command to check if your PC recognizes your device.

2. After that, open the Scrcpy ZIP file on your computer at any location.

3. Open the extracted scrcpy folder and double-click the scrcpy.exe file.

4. It will start to mirror your Android screen to your PC.

5. Now open these apps on your phone and take a screenshot from the app on your Windows PC using Shift Ctrl S and on macOS or Linux you can use built-in shortcuts.

So here is how to take a screenshot of the app using the screen recording tool on your PC. This method is foolproof but does not work with all applications. So you will have to use the root method if you want to take screenshots on all apps.
