Today it is possible to use a home battery without solar panels. If the purpose of this investment is to store energy so that it can be reused later, be aware that the savings made will not be substantial. The remaining reason is that the difference between the tariff for peak hours and off-peak hours is not great enough. On the other hand, if your goal is simply to have an off-grid power source in the event of a power outage, then buying a solar battery alone may become more attractive.
