How to change the default Google account on your Android

The Google Account is built into all Android devices and you can sign in with as many accounts as you want. However, the default account decides how you sign in to most apps, especially Google apps. We'll show you how to change your default Google account on Android.

It's fairly easy to add multiple Google accounts to your device, but the default account is the one you used when setting up the device. Therefore, if you are also using multiple accounts on your phone, you will need to log out and delete the old account to change the default account.

Once you delete the previous account, it will set the second account as the default. After that, you can log back into the first account again. Let's see how to do it.

Change the default Google account on Android

1) Go to "Settings" menu and scroll down and select "Google".

2) You will see your default Google account at the top of the screen. Tap the drop-down arrow icon below your name to see the list of accounts.

3) Now press "Manage accounts on this device" and you will now see the list of all accounts.

4) Find and select your default account and press "Delete account."

Note: Deleting the account will delete all associated data on your Android phone. Some of this data may be recovered from the backup when you reconnect.

5) If you are satisfied, press "Delete account" on the confirmation pop-up window.

The default account will now be deleted from your device.

6) Tap the back arrow in the top left corner to return to Google settings.

7) Press the drop-down arrow icon again to open the list of accounts and press "Add another account. "

After confirming your password, a login page will appear. Follow the steps and enter your login information for the account you want to add.

Importing and synchronizing accounts may take a few seconds. Once this is done, your phone will now have a new Google account by default. To learn more about Android tips and tricks, stay tuned with gadgets to use!
