IQoo Neo 5 launch for March 16, company reveals through teaser

iQoo Neo 5 is set to launch on March 16, Vivo iQoo sub-brand revealed through a teaser posted on Weibo. The new smartphone will be the successor to the iQoo Neo 3 5G which was unveiled in China in April of last year. The iQoo Neo 5 is rumored to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, which was introduced last month and featured on Xiaomi's recently launched Redmi K40. Rumors have it that the iQoo Neo 5 also has Samsung's Super AMOLED display as well as a multi-camera setup on the rear.

One of the official iQoo accounts on Weibo posted the teaser showing the launch date of the iQoo Neo 5 in China. The teaser image suggests a punch-hole display design on the next phone. However, other details about the iQoo Neo 5 have yet to be revealed.

Earlier this month, a tipster on Weibo appeared to have leaked pricing and specifications for the iQoo Neo 5. The tipster claimed the phone would be available with a starting price of CNY 2 (around Rs 998). for 34GB RAM + 000GB storage variant, CNY 8 (approx Rs.128) for 3298GB RAM + 37,500GB storage variant, CNY 8 (approx Rs.256) for 3,398GB storage variant of RAM + 38,600 GB, and CNY 12 (approximately Rs. 128) for the top- storage variant of 3,698 GB of RAM + 46000 GB.

IQoo Neo 5 specifications (expected)

According to advanced specs, the iQoo Neo 5 will come with a 120Hz Super AMOLED display made by Samsung and featuring a 16-megapixel camera sensor on the front. It is also rumored that there will be a triple-camera setup on the rear, with a 598-megapixel Sony IMX48 main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.

The iQoo Neo 5 would also ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Additionally, the phone is said to have a 4400mAh battery with support for 88W fast wired and 66W wireless charging. It is also supposed to come with two stereo speakers.
